On November 15, 2025, the ICEA Volunteering Program successfully completed its 4th Leadership Training Session.
This session focused on three areas that strengthen our volunteers’ leadership: classroom management, positive coaching, and community building.
Volunteers learned how to create structured and engaging learning environments through clear transitions, classroom norms, and confident group guidance. We also explored positive coaching strategies rooted in developmental psychology—using encouraging language, reframing challenges, and supporting students’ emotional well-being. Finally, we practiced community-building activities designed to foster belonging, teamwork, and stronger relationships, helping every student feel seen and supported.
We also recognized and honored long-serving volunteers with surprise appreciation gifts, in order to celebrate their commitment and impact in the ICEA community. We’re incredibly proud of our volunteers for their dedication and growth.
Stay tuned for our next training session!
